A video of the Delhi Metro has gone viral on social media showing passengers jumping over the exit gate has gone viral
The incident took place on Feb 13 at 11:22pm.
The officials said the two trains arrived at the station at the same time and that led to a massive crowd and heavy rush at the exit gate.
What Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said ?
The DMRC mentioned the exit gates were stuck and that led to a rush since there was a massive crowd at the station. Security personnel and staff were present at the station and the crowd was under the control.
“This is in reference to some social media posts claiming that Delhi Metro fares have been revised. Delhi Metro’s fares can only be revised by an independent Fare Fixation Committee which is nominated by the Government. Presently there is no such proposal for the constitution of any Fare Fixation Committee.”
